The Devil throws a party in the underworld in celebration of the operation he's running. Mugman knits a sweater for Cuphead so he can be safe from the Devil taking his soul. At the end of the episode, we can see that the Henchman has been employed as the new host of the game show. After King Dice fails at getting Cuphead's soul, he invites King Dice down to Hell, where he violently confronts him about losing Cuphead's soul, and fires him as the host of Roll the Dice. But, he does warn King Dice that he " hates disappointment". The Devil, though annoyed at his bubble bath being interrupted, is happy to learn this. Since this day, he is the Cup Brothers' archenemy, having a goal to claim Cuphead's soul at all costs.Īfter King Dice realizes he has Cuphead, he calls the Devil to let him know. Defeated, the Devil swears revenge on Cuphead since he owes his soul to him. A fight ensues between the cups and the Devil, resulting in the Devil accidentally destroying his Soul Ball machine and freeing all the souls he had taken. His soul is briefly taken from him, but Mugman is able to grab it and put it back. When distracted by Mugman, Cuphead finally loses Soul Ball. After scaring away the crowd, the Devil approaches Cuphead and Mugman. Aggravated, he teleports to the "carn-evil" above him and sees Cuphead winning Soul Ball, which has attracted a crowd.

His Henchman catches his attention to let him know that the soul counter has stopped and that no more souls are being collected. He sings a song introducing himself, talking about how much he loves collecting souls and terrorizing the townsfolk.

While Cuphead keeps winning Soul Ball in the sham "carn-evil", the Devil is below him collecting souls in Inkwell Hell. Curiously, when he's not obsessing by souls, he can be quite pleasant, the most obvious example being in the episode Sweater Luck Next Time, where he ends up laughing at Cuphead's jokes while they both wait in line for the ride.

However, he can be very intimidating, as seen when he threatens King Dice after his failure. He's more jolly and playful than he is in the game, and behaves in a more sassy and childish manner. The Devil is manipulative, evil, flamboyant, and has an obsession with collecting souls. His fur and horns have both also gained slight blue and yellow tints, shows a bit fat, unlike from the game, and his ears are a bit longer and spikier. In The Cuphead Show!, The Devil now is always depicted with a tail (unlike in the game) the tip of his nose has gained a red flush, and the red irises he is only occasionally depicted with in-game are now a permanent part of his design.
